Achieving Excellence

Learn to Program

At Stoke Park Junior School we strongly believe that all children should be given the opportunity to experience computer programming in a way that allows them to feel positive about their successes. Pupils are taught the fundamental skills of programming using a range of software. Our intention is to bring programming, and ICT in general,  into the classroom. Our pupils will mostly use Scratch and Scratch Jr on iPads in order to achieve the National Curriculum objectives due to the depth of understanding that can be achieved using these packages. Below you can find a link to download Sratch for free, the free app is also available from the link below. We have also provided links to some useful programming websites which you can use to assist your children in learning the skills needed to program.
