Year 4 Saltwater Well-Being Activity Session - 19.4.2021

Year 4 had an exciting start to the summer term. They took part in an activity session from an organisation called 'Saltwater'. They specialise in bringing the beach into the classroom and discuss strategies for overcoming your fears and worries. 

Year 4 painted some beautiful pebbles following their well-being workshop The children learnt how to 'surf' and discussed the positive features of peaceful places such as the beach and ocean.

Year 4 Stubbington Activity Days - Spring Term 2 2021

Children from Year 4 were lucky enough to take part in some exciting activities, led by the staff from Stubbington Study Centre. The children were due to go on residential there, but due to COVID, this was cancelled. Pupils didn't let this get them down and after they undertook the activities, they wrote some amazing newspaper reports. 

Science Competition Winners   Spring Term 2021

Children were invited to enter a competition at home where they had to think like Scientists. The challenge was to identify a problem that needed a solution; create the solution and build it with junk modelling.

Stoke Park rose to the challenge and we had a wide variety of entries ranging from solving small home problems with remote control options to worldwide problems like carbon reducing ideas.

The Governors had a tricky job to select winners as the range of Scientific ideas were amazing!
