Stoke Park Junior School considers that Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is a key aspect of your child’s education.
We aim to offer pupils a carefully planned programme on human development, relationships, sexuality and family life within a safe, comfortable atmosphere and in a relaxed relationship between teacher and pupil. The programme is set within a moral framework and matched to the pupils’ level of maturity. Our approach reflects the requirements of the Department for Education (DfE) Sex and Relationship Guidance. This was made statutory from September 2020.
In this section of our website, you will find our whole school Curriculum Overview, presentation to parents outlining the new statutory arrangements for Relationship and Sex Education and how the school developing its work in this.
We have put together an information video, outlining details of how PSHE is taught at Stoke Park Junior School. This can be viewed on the school's YouTube channel, by following the link below.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our PSHE Leader, Mr Matt Bristow or Mrs Caroline Grist, our Acting Deputy Headteacher.
