Stoke Park Junior School

Achieving Excellence

Physical Education (P.E)

At Stoke Park, we recognise sport as an integral part of the ethos and achievements of the school.

Our aims:

  • To provide a rich variety of sporting opportunities.
  • To develop healthy, sporting habits in pupils by focusing on physical activity and competition through friendly and competitive fixtures.
  • To deliver sport as a part of the national curriculum PE programme, but also as extra-curricular activities providing a range of clubs.

In Year 4, all children are given the opportunity to have swimming lessons.  Sessions are provided at Places Leisure Eastleigh free of charge to parents, although we do ask for a voluntary contribution towards the cost of transport.

Sports provided in school: short tennis, athletics, hockey, gymnastics, netball, cricket, cross-country, dance, rounders, football, tag rugby, basketball, orienteering and handball.

As with most things at the moment, the PE curriculum outlined below is subject to change to ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols and best practice.

In this section of our website, you will find our whole school Curriculum Overview and progression of skills documents.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our P.E Leader, Mr Matt Bristow.
