Prevent Strategy at Stoke Park Junior School

Prevent is a key part of the government's counter-terrorism strategy. It aims to prevent the radicalisation of any individual, whilst positively promoting what it means to be British. This then creates a cohesive society which is based on British values, regardless of the origins or ethnicity of individuals.

Prevention of radicalisation and the promotion of British Values at Stoke Park Junior School

  • The Social, Moral, Spiritual and Cultural development of our pupils is a central theme to our curriculum and allow pupils to think critically and discuss current issues

  • All our safeguarding practices, policies and training, which address the Prevent strategy, are up-to-date and regularly reviewed

  • Children are taught about different religions

  • Our school assemblies are based on our school values and promote British Values

  • Any form of racism (or prejudice), by either adults or children, is challenged

  • The pastoral support offered within the school are strong
